Date – Thursday 9th March | Time – 6:30pm to 8:30pm | Sapling Room – Meppershall Village Hall
Residents wishing to register their interest in attending this 2 hours training session should contact the Clerk on firstname.lastname@example.org
The Community Heartbeat Trust has been asked to demonstrate to willing villagers the use of defibrillators and explain how the equipment works and its benefits to the community in saving precious minutes in the treatment of sudden cardiac arrest.
The more people that know how to use the 3 portable defibrillators installed in our village, the more chance there is of saving the life of a victim of Sudden Cardiac Arrest.
Everybody is welcome to register their interest in attending, and no special skills are required, just your willingness to play an important role in the event of a medical emergency.
In the event of someone collapsing or needing emergency medical help, dial 999 immediately.
If a defibrillator is required, the 999 operator will instruct you on what to do – including CPR if needed – while asking someone else to get a defibrillator. The 999 call handler will provide details of the nearest defibrillator, plus the code to access it.
In Meppershall our defibrillators are currently located at:
- Meppershall Academy
- Budgens Village Stores
- Meppershall Village Hall
